Volunteer Information

Volunteer Requirements

In order to encourage more participation by families, we have altered our volunteer fee structure as follows: In addition to season dues, each family is required to submit a separate check for $200 for the volunteer fee. This check will not be deposited until the end of the season (~February 8th) if necessary.

  • In order for a family to earn the $200.00 volunteer fee back they must either
  1. Work at least 4 volunteer slots at the SAL meets. Click here for a description of the meet jobs.
  2. OR

  3. Choose one of the positions below
  • Please contact Anita (amcclurkin@gmail.com) if you are interested in one of these positions as some of the positions are not available at this time.
    1. Volunteer coordinator-Boys Team- Organize volunteers at all meets. Submit a record of who worked after each meet to the designated administrator for recording purposes.
    2. Volunteer coordinator-Girls Team -Organize volunteers at all meets. Submit a record of who worked after each meet to the designated administrator for recording purposes.
    3. Complete training and officiate meets as a Starter Referee- *Will receive an additional $100 credit to be used by the end of the following season
    4. Complete training and officiate meets as a stroke and turns judge-*Will receive an additional $50 credit to be used by the end of the following season
    5. SAL Girls Team Representative-Swimming (Attend three swimming meetings at Upper Dublin HS and inform team and staff of any pertinent information)
    6. SAL Boys Team Representative-Swimming (Attend three swimming meetings at Upper Dublin HS and inform team and staff of any pertinent information)
    7. SAL Team Representative-Diving (Attend three diving meetings at Upper Dublin HS and inform team and staff of any pertinent information)
    8. Snack Stand Coordinator (Ensures the snack stand is supplied and has parents scheduled to work it during meets.)
    9. Team Equipment Manager (Repairs equipment, etc.) plus work three volunteer slots at the SAL meets
    10. Be a member of the fundraising committee for the team and plan fundraisers- plus work three volunteer slots at the SAL meets
    11. Be a member of the banquet committee to plan and organize the end of season banquet- plus work three volunteer slots at the SAL meets
    12. Be trained and run the computer for scoring the meet at the home meets- we need two people- one for the boys and one for the girls
    13. Be trained and work the timing system for the home meets- we need two people- one for the boys and one for the girls
    14. Assist in organizing the sale of CORE team apparel- plus work three volunteer slots at the SAL meets

    Background Clearances

    You have to volunteer at swim meets in order to qualify for a volunteer fee refund. Plus, we need parent volunteers to run the meets. In order to ensure the safety of our kids, we are asking the volunteers who have direct contact with the swimmers to apply for clearances.
